PIEoneer Awards WINNER

Thanks for Joining the #TravelwithCANIE movement

With the EAIE 2024 conference over, we’ve reflected on our time at the conference this year.

We were excited to see the prominence of the Sustainability Corner, with a prime spot in the expo hall along with multiple initiatives, presentations and activity taking place.

After increasing our initial Travel with CANIE target from 20 to 40 tonnes of CO2, we exceeded expectations and saw a whopping 71.55 tonnes of CO2 saved, with a record-breaking 179 participants!

Thank you to all green travellers for their low-carbon and climate-conscious choices and of course, for supporting the Travel with CANIE initiative.

Special thanks to EAIE for partnering with CANIE on the initiative, The PIE for launching #ThePIEconvoy in conjunction with the PIEoneer Awards and to Fixterra for supporting the implementation this year.

Keep an eye out for plans to take Travel with CANIE to Gothenburg in 2025!

*Please consider the values generated by Travel and Climate's carbon calculator as estimates of the carbon emitted by various forms of travel. For the purposes of estimating carbon savings by switching your mode of travel to conferences, this calculator is considered sufficient. There are specific carbon calculators for each mode of travel that may be more detailed and robust, but for our current purposes, this calculator provides the convenience of all modes of transport in one place.*
