Kia ora! My background is in experiential learning, gender equity, international education and sustainable development. I worked for ten years a marine biologist focusing on sustainable livelihoods and tropical coastal management in East Africa, Belize, Costa Rica, Vietnam and Indonesia.

I've been involved with CANIE previously both as a member and Vice President of the Oceanic Chapter. I'm also a graduate of the Climate Reality Project Leadership Corps 2021 training course led by former US Vice President Al Gore. Since then, I've taken action by developing an innovative climate action virtual internship programme with Virtual Internships and Pomegranate Global focusing on helping businesses across the Indo Pacific operate more sustainably.

As Executive Director of CANIE my role is to assist with operationalising the CANIE Strategic Plan and report to the Global Board.
